Instructor
- General Automotive Technology at Technical College System of Georgia.
- Prepares and delivers lecture and/or lab course material; prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for specified courses.
- Organizes and conducts classes using a variety of learning experiences and activities.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude toward students and maintains current and comprehensive knowledge of the subject areas to be taught.
- Accurately and timely submits required reports; prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports.
- Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives; communicates progress to students and appropriate personnel according to established guidelines.
- Maintains student records and complies with reporting requirements; supports recruitment, retention and job placement efforts.
- Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure and demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior.
- Works resourcefully within the system to accomplish goals; adapts to process changes and new methods and procedures.
- Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately; works when scheduled and complies with attendance and leave policies; supports Fair Labor Standards Act provisions and uses work time appropriately.
- Performs other duties as assigned in support of the college’s mission; may serve as Campus Security Authority and completes related responsibilities and trainings as required.
- Assists with recruitment, retention and job placement efforts; actively participates in retention initiatives of the school.
- Performs additional duties as assigned in fulfillment of the needs, philosophy, and purpose of the college.
- Minimum Requirements (Job Code 10065):
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline OR AAT/AS/AAS in Automotive Technology with two years related work experience. ASE Certification OR other industry certifications. Minimum of two years relevant work experience. - Preferred Qualifications:
Postsecondary teaching experience.
Salary: $64,480 per year.
Schedule:
40-hour week on the Lawrenceville campus.
