Rocket Lab is an end-to-end space company delivering responsive launch services, spacecraft design and manufacturing, payloads, satellite components, and more. Our Electron rocket program has become the second most frequently launched U.S. rocket annually, with more than 230 satellites delivered to orbit. We are also developing Neutron, our upcoming medium-lift, reusable launch vehicle for larger constellation deployment. Space Systems designs and builds our satellites, payloads, and components, including spacecraft selected to support NASA missions to the Moon and Mars and components used on the James Webb Space Telescope.
Responsibilities- Monitor Open orders and manage Fast Track/Rush orders
- Ensure Throughput KPIs are met
- Provide daily direction and support for Store Persons
- Maintain a strong customer focus for walk-ins
- Support inbound goods as needed and outbound logistics as needed
- Ensure on-time delivery of components and production kits in accordance with plans and priorities
- Coordinate daily and weekly kitting resources to achieve DIFOT and sustain high levels of customer service
- Serve as first escalation point for kitting-related issues
- Coordinate with Production Assembly Team Leads, other Rocket Lab sites, and Logistics teams on required parts
- Ensure compliance with Rocket Lab document management system
- Maintain SOPs and stock point accuracy
- Follow health and safety policies and PPE requirements
- Promote continuous improvement and maintain standard operating procedures for key processes
- Keep a tidy, orderly warehouse in line with 5S principles
- Carry out tasks as reasonably expected and support daily cycle counting
- Assist with ensuring FIFO stock rotation and accurate stock movements
- Report near misses and incidents promptly
- Support additional duties as reasonably required
- High school diploma and 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience independently performing a wide range of complex duties under general supervision
- Proven experience managing 3-6 direct reports or qualified internal candidate
- Exposure to international shipping regulations (ITAR)
- Knowledge of IATA/IMDG for dangerous goods
- Strong IT skills and comfort with Windows
- Experience with a fully integrated ERP system
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, or heavy manufacturing
- Experience with ERP systems
- Experience in high-paced, rapid-growth environments
- Can-do attitude with strong organizational and communication skills
- Specific vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus
- Regularly required to sit, use hands, operate a computer, and communicate verbally and in writing
- Must be able to commute to the workplace
- Occasional exposure to dust, fumes, and moderate noise
