Engineer III

In support of Product Manager Future Weapon Systems, we are seeking a Systems Engineer III with experience in supporting (DoD Federal acquisition programs; knowledge of policy/principles/organizational protocols).

A Systems Engineer is an IT professional who oversees the creation of hybrid software, web, and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance. These products are often sophisticated systems that run on the web. The systems engineer is responsible for integrating various network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices and for ensuring the technical and programmatic success of the project.

• Report directly to the Marine Air Defense Integrated System (MADIS) Training Systems Project Officer under Product Manager (PdM) Future Weapon Systems, Program Manager Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD), PEO Land Systems.
• Track, execute, and report on MADIS Training Systems tasks.
• Provide continuous technical engineering support to the engineering competency for the development of documentation that supports the Systems Engineering Technical Process and the Systems Engineering Technical Management Process in accordance with DoD 5000‑series acquisition policies, DON systems engineering policies, and MARCORSYSCOM guidance.
• Support the planning, execution, and closure of Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events, including preparing and updating the SETR projection calendar, Technical Review event information, Technical Review Action Plans (TRAPs), and Technical Review Data Packages (TRDPs).
• Maintain and update the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) and other technical documentation such as the Systems Requirements Document, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and interface requirements specifications.
• Provide technical guidance on test and evaluation (T&E) master plans, test strategies, test plans, and procedures; analyze test results and advise on performance measurement.
• Coordinate safety documentation with the MARCORSYSCOM Safety Office as part of the Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health process.
• Collaborate with program and support contractor staff across engineering, test, logistics, development, and integration functions.
• Assist in preparing technical briefing materials for risk reviews, status meetings, technical review boards, and the Configuration Control Board.
• Serve as the remaining behind element during travel by the APdM‑E to ensure continuity of support on daily tasks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or other relevant field with seven (7) years of relevant experience in defense life cycle (acquisition) logistics support of electronic systems, including logistics management, principles, practices, and processes.
• Five (5) years of direct experience may be substituted for a master’s degree.

• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• Not eligible for remote work or 100% telework.
• Mid‑level knowledge of acquisition engineering and associated product support elements.
• Experience in training simulations and Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) preferred.
• Experience with Weapon, Sensor, and Integration systems, including MAGTF C2, Air Defense, Radar, Unmanned, and Command/Control.
• Experience integrating various network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices.
• Experience applying systems engineering principles to overall project design, including cost, schedule, and social issues.
• Knowledge of CM Pro, Configuration Control Board processes, Risk Exchange+, and MS Teams.
• Proficiency in synthesizing information from various electronic data sources to produce coherent responses.
• Familiarity with MARCORSYSCOM Vital Information Portal for Enterprise Resources (VIPER).
