Job Summary

Dominion Energy seeks a Nuclear Quality Specialist II or III to join the Nuclear Oversight team at the Dominion Energy North Anna Power Station in Mineral, VA.

The position will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Nuclear Quality Specialist II – Perform quality assurance audits, evaluations, and assessments of nuclear programs to verify compliance with regulatory requirements. Requires working knowledge of nuclear QAP codes and standards as they apply to engineering, plant systems and components, administrative controls and work process.
  • Nuclear Quality Specialist III – Coordinate, direct and perform quality assurance audits, evaluations and assessments of nuclear programs to verify compliance with regulatory requirements. Requires full and comprehensive knowledge of QA requirements, understanding of engineering concepts, plant systems and components, administrative controls and work control processes.
  • Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5‑E9, W1‑CW5, or O3‑O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined are considered.
Qualifications
  • Nuclear Quality Specialist II – Minimum 2 years experience in nuclear power or QA with commensurate knowledge of nuclear/QA processes. Good investigation and communication skills required.
  • Nuclear Quality Specialist III – Minimum 5 years nuclear QA related experience such as nuclear plant design or operations with commensurate knowledge of nuclear processes and procedures. Strong communication, investigation, and leadership skills.
  • Note:

    A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications.
  • Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3‑E5, W1‑W2, or O1‑O3 and above are strongly encouraged to apply.
Education Requirements
  • Preferred degree:
    Bachelor’s
  • Preferred disciplines:
    Engineering, Math/Science, Technology
  • In lieu of preferred bachelor’s degree, accept related associate degree and 4+ years of specified experience and knowledge, or high school diploma/GED and 6+ years of the specified experience and knowledge.
Licenses, Certifications, or Qualifications

Nuclear Quality Assurance Auditor certification preferred. Must meet DOM-QA-1, Section 2.5.3 (NQA-1-1994 Basic Requirement 2 Supplement 2S-3) as clarified by DOM-QA-1, Appendix C, Section 1 for Regulatory Guide 1.8 Revision 4 and ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014.
