- Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase product quality.
- Develop, document, and maintain process standards to ensure consistency in production and compliance with quality control protocols.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for improvement and implement process modifications to enhance safety, productivity, and sustainability.
- Design and execute process experiments to test new methods or materials, ensuring the scalability and efficiency of changes.
- Troubleshoot process issues on the production floor, working closely with operators, maintenance teams, and quality control personnel to identify root causes and implement solutions.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to reduce costs and improve production throughput.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including production efficiency, cycle times, yield rates, and downtime.
- Coordinate with R&D and product development teams to scale up new product lines and introduce new processes into manufacturing.
- Train and mentor production staff on process improvements, new procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all process engineering activities.
- Evaluate the usage of robot/mechanization to improve safety, eliminate errors and increase performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or a related field).
- 3+ years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing, preferably in packaging or a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.).
- Proficiency in data analysis, statistical methods, and process optimization tools.
- Experience with CAD software and process simulation tools is a plus.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
- Detail‑oriented, with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Willingness to be hands‑on with production equipment and processes to resolve issues.
- Knowledge of safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality control procedures is essential.
