Location: Lovettsville
Resonant Sciences LLC is hiring a Radar System Architect/Radar Systems Engineer for our Signature Systems & Diagnostics team. The position is primarily located in Lovettsville, Virginia or Dayton, Ohio, but other locations may be considered.
Duties And ResponsibilitiesProvide technical leadership in the development of new radar capabilities, including tailoring and modifying current systems and creating next‑generation solutions. Deliver a cohesive technical vision across the entire radar systems spectrum—including antenna & RF architectures, signal & data processing, link budgets, phenomenology & environmental effects, image/target synthesis, feature/target detection, displays, software architectures, data management, and internal & external interfaces.
- Conceptualize, model, and develop system, subsystem, or algorithm designs using tools such as MATLAB, C/C++, Python, or similar.
- Apply knowledge of signal and data processing from design through implementation and troubleshooting.
- Use antenna, propagation, and clutter environment knowledge for system conceptualization, architecture, and identification of observables in data.
- Implement radar modes, algorithms, and techniques across diverse sensing functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field with at least seven years of full‑time professional experience; or a Master’s Degree with at least five years of experience.
- Experience in radar system requirements, design, build, and test.
- Experience in system or subsystem architecture development or novel inventions is a plus.
- Experience in radar operational testing is a plus.
- Knowledge of Python, MATLAB, or C++ is a plus.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance required; active clearance preferred.
