Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in tooling and industrial equipment procurement and installation. This role will lead end-to-end project execution for new equipment installations, upgrades, and tooling projects, ensuring alignment with production requirements, budget, and timeline.
Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for tooling and equipment projects
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, maintenance, and suppliers
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Source and evaluate suppliers for tooling and industrial equipment
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to ensure cost-effective procurement
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee compliance with specifications and quality standards
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of industrial equipment and tooling
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements during installation
- Validate equipment performance and handover to operations
- Track project costs and ensure adherence to approved budgets
- Prepare regular status reports for stakeholders and management
- Drive continuous improvement in project execution and cost efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of project management experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Proven expertise in tooling and industrial equipment procurement and installation
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment specifications
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, SAP, or similar)
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
