- Design and document telecommunications systems for advanced facilities, including Outside Plant (OSP), backbone distribution systems, communication room layouts, rack elevations, wired and wireless device plans, and cable schedules.
- Use Revit (and occasionally AutoCAD) to create fully coordinated 3D BIM models across all design disciplines.
- Produce 2D construction drawings and ensure designs meet NEC, TIA, and other industry standards.
- Collaborate with designers, discipline leads, architects, and engineers to deliver accurate, constructible solutions.
- Gain opportunities to lead portions of design work with oversight, expanding your technical and leadership skills.
- Experience in telecommunications systems design for complex facilities.
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
- Two‑year technical degree or four‑year non‑technical degree.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in telecommunications design and construction industry.
- Knowledge and application of BICSI design practices.
- Knowledge & application of NFPA 70 (NEC) as applicable to telecommunications design requirements.
- Knowledge & application of Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) standards.
- Experience leading telecommunications design team.
- Knowledge of design and construction specifications.
- Experience estimating and scheduling small to medium sized projects.
- Associates or Bachelor's degree.
- At least 3 years of telecommunications design experience for semiconductor, data center, or advanced manufacturing facilities.
- Project management experience.
- Working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks design software platforms.
- Knowledge and design experience with paging, intercom and audio visual systems.
- Knowledge and design experience with life safety and security systems.
- Knowledge of control systems and network topology.
- Certification such as RCDD, DCDC, OSP or RTPM.
