We are now seeking a Senior level Actuary to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in the expansion of the company’s actuarial department. The Sr. Actuary will report directly to the Chief Actuarial Officer and contribute to a range of business decisions based on actuarial analysis and forecasting to maximize profit and growth.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of P&C actuarial experience and hold the FCAS designation.

• Ongoing product line analyses of rates and results.
• Pricing and reserving for product lines.
• Rate change monitoring.
• Programming to automate actuarial and data-related tasks.
• Data-sharing with executive team and staff underwriters.
• Work cross-functionally to aid in the development of internal tools and products.
• Respond to ad hoc requests from product line and executive leaders.
• Other actuarial work as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, data science, statistics, finance, or related subjects.
• 7+ years of relevant actuarial experience.
• FCAS designation or close to obtaining FCAS.
• Required programming experience with SQL.
• Required programming experience with Python or R.
• Property & casualty experience required. Excess & surplus lines experience is preferred.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent analytical ability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
