JOB DESCRIPTION:

Based on our continued growth and success, we are looking for a Financial Analyst that will be a key member of our Asset Management division in our Glen Allen, Virginia corporate office.

This position will be assigned 8‑10 various portfolios ranging in product type, to include office, hospitality, and potentially industrial. The ideal candidate must be detail‑oriented and methodical with the ability to handle competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Strong communication skills and a team‑member approach are critical.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned which are necessary for the smooth and continued operations of the company.
  • Review and analyze monthly and quarterly investor reporting for cash, accrual and GAAP basis accounting.
  • Conduct monthly financial review meetings with other departments (Property Management and Accounting) to ensure accuracy of operating statements alongside the Asset Manager.
  • Participate in bi‑weekly investor meetings to review leasing and operation updates.
  • Review and analyze annual budget and ad‑hoc forecasts.
  • Help oversee cash management and cost control for properties under management.
  • Prepare various analysis to determine short‑term and long‑term cash needs.
  • Perform Debt Service Coverage Ratio or other debt covenant calculations.
  • Analyze lender reserves and prepare Lender Disbursement Requests.
  • Ad‑Hoc support of Asset Management and Financial Analysts teams.
  • BE A SPONGE! Absorb all the information you’re exposed to in order to develop a fundamental real estate understanding.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to function well in a team environment.
  • Ability to effectively balance multiple priorities.
  • Results oriented with the ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word with the ability to quickly learn various in‑house software applications.
  • Aptitude for working with minimal supervision.
