Transitions Medical Care and Spa LLC is seeking a Cosmetologist to deliver professional beauty and personal care services for clients at our Grundy, VA location through an approximately 1-year contract engagement.
Position SummaryThis contract engagement calls for an independent Cosmetologist to provide high-quality salon and spa services tailored to client preferences and current industry standards. Work will take place onsite in Grundy, VA, with a focus on customer satisfaction, safe work practices, and consistent service delivery.
The engagement includes performing core cosmetology services, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and supporting an overall client experience that reflects professionalism and care through this approximately 1-year engagement.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform cosmetology services such as hair styling and other beauty treatments according to client requests and professional standards
Consult with clients to understand desired outcomes and provide appropriate recommendations
Maintain tools, sanitation procedures, and workstations in accordance with applicable safety and hygiene requirements
Ensure service rooms are prepared before appointments and reset afterward for cleanliness and readiness
Keep client interactions respectful, professional, and service-focused, while documenting relevant service details as required
Valid cosmetology license or required state authorization to practice in Virginia
Demonstrated ability to perform cosmetology services with consistent quality and attention to detail
Strong understanding of sanitation, hygiene, and safe handling practices for tools and products
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a client service mindset
Reliability and professionalism in an onsite setting
Experience working in a salon, spa, or similar service environment
Familiarity with a range of beauty services and techniques to accommodate different client needs
Ability to work efficiently while maintaining thoroughness and quality
Experience following established service protocols and maintaining accurate service records
