Our multifaceted approach aims to relieve clinical, operational, financial, and practical burdens from owners, administrators, and staff so they can focus on their responsibilities and improve facility management.
Responsibilities- Plan, direct and evaluate resident and employee health care in long-term care.
- Daily travel to various facilities. Regions can vary based on scheduling needs.
- Examine and treat chronic and acute wound-related illnesses and injuries.
- Interpret diagnostic tests and recommend appropriate follow-up.
- Refer to and update physicians, write prescriptions, and perform bedside wound care procedures.
- Collaborate with the medical director in resident and staff care and treatment.
- Perform wound debridement as appropriate (sharp, enzymatic, autolytic, or surgical) in the patient’s setting and complete associated procedures.
- Apply and manage topical wound care products and wound management strategies.
- Recommend related services to improve wound healing outcomes.
- Educate patients and primary care physicians on current wound management practices.
- Proof of Covid vaccination.
- Licensed as a registered nurse in the state.
- Current Active, unrestricted state APRN license or ability to obtain prior to hire.
- Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
- Current approval by the Board of Nursing to perform medical acts.
- Master’s degree in Nursing.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to stand and walk for 4+ hours.
- Able to lift 100 pounds to assist fallen residents.
- Able to lift 10 pounds for routine performance of essential functions.
- Pushing/pulling 70+ pounds when administering patient care.
- Bending/squatting/kneeling/twisting during patient care.
- Depth perception for performing medical procedures.
- May be exposed to adverse indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, blood borne pathogens, physical hazards (e.g., needle pricks), and chemical hazards.
- Will travel to multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities within the local area.
- The position requires Covid vaccination.
