Job Summary and Qualifications

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing all established ultrasound procedures. Considers age-related factors in care, treatment, education and evaluation of patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics. Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately in accordance with professional standards and departmental policies and procedures. Perform procedures safely and observes universal precautions at all times. Pursues professional development for the continual improvement of patient care.

* Utilizes standard precautions by wearing protective equipment (goggles, gowns, gloves and uses correct handwashing techniques).
