We are hiring for a positive and personable individual looking for a satisfying and fun opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people with intellectual, developmental disabilities, and challenges related to mental health, substance use, and behavioral concerns.
Core Responsibilities- Develop, train, monitor, and implement individualized and program-specific behavior plans and behavioral support systems.
- Collect, record, and summarize data for monthly progress reviews.
- Develop, implement, and monitor state and RHA policies and procedures related to behavioral support services.
- Complete functional analysis through observation and interviews to determine probable causes.
- Obtain appropriate consent for behavior plans from supported persons, legal representatives, and professional staff.
- Monitor and track specific data related to implementation of behavior plans.
- Provide data and information to other disciplines supporting the person.
- Provide individual and group in‑service training for current and new staff regarding behavior support plans.
- Observe implementation of the behavioral support plan to determine fidelity.
- Work closely with Direct Support staff and other clinical/professional staff to maintain open communication and feedback.
- Participate in intake, admission, assessment, training, and discharge processes for behavior respite services.
- Participate in development, implementation, and monitoring of federal and state regulations and RHA policies and procedures related to behavior support.
- Counsel and assist people supported in developing and maintaining important relationships with peers, friends, and family members.
- Masters Degree in psychology, behavior analysis, education, counseling, or social work required.
- 2+ years of experience working with identified populations, individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
- Licensed Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Psychologist preferred.
- Specialized training and/or experience in applied behavior principles, functional assessment, data analysis, and behavior interventions.
- 1+ year working with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities (preferred).
- Georgia Only:
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) required plus 2 years experience in applied behavior principles. - Valid driver’s license required for positions requiring transportation.
