Our pharmacy technicians support the pharmacy team to deliver operational and service excellence. They assist customers at pick‑up, drive‑thru, and over the phone; complete prescriptions promptly, safely and accurately; and provide compassionate service that exceeds patient expectations.

• Live our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, and drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care: creating heartfelt and personalized moments while serving patients at pick‑up, drive‑thru, and over the phone; keeping patients healthy by offering immunizations and other services; and demonstrating compassionate care by solving or escalating patient problems.
• Complete basic inventory activities as permitted by law, including accurately putting away medication deliveries and doing cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, and waiting bin inventories.
• Contribute to a high‑performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge needed to better assist patients.
• Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, and volunteer for travel to stores in the market if required by the business.
• Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles. Comply with CVS policies to ensure patient safety, controlled‑substance dispensing, recordkeeping, and protection of patient privacy and security.
• Deliver additional patient health care services such as immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and voluntarily staffing off‑site clinics where permissible by law and allowed by training and certification.

• Complete additional licensure and training requirements to obtain Technician Immunizer status.
• Educate patients about the importance of vaccines and refer them to the Pharmacist‑on‑duty for vaccination questions.
• Monitor for, and respond to, adverse reactions; report adverse reaction events per public health requirements.
• Review and collect patient information; monitor and manage vaccine supplies.

• Comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including age, education, and licensure/certification.
• State‑level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe.
• Attention and Focus: ability to concentrate, pivot quickly, and confirm prescription information for patient safety.
• Customer Service and Team Orientation: actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner; notice and respond appropriately to patients’ reactions.

• Physical Demands: mobile, upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, reach overhead, use fingers repeatedly, and perform other tasks as described.
• Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager.

• 1‑3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
• Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs.
