The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, China, silver, glassware, pots, pans and work areas, and for replenishing supplies with clean ware. The steward performs additional job duties as assigned by the Executive Chef.

• Clean and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, flatware, and glassware.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including dry storage & walk‑in coolers.
• Empty kitchen trash receptacles and properly dispose of garbage.
• Perform daily cleaning tasks in the kitchen.
• Incorporate safe work practices in performance.
• Break down all kitchen equipment for cleaning using approved chemicals.
• Comply with all department and company rules, regulations, policies, procedures, internal controls, and government regulations.
• Replenish supplies with clean ware.
• Perform all duties in a safe and careful manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Attend required training sessions offered by the Company.
• Obtain and retain required license(s).
• Perform duties in compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
• Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the department.
• Have knowledge of the Property’s problem‑gaming programs.
• Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the team member may have knowledge.

• High School Diploma or GED. Must meet all knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be able to stand for longer than 8 hours.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

Virginia Racing Commission License. Valid Driver’s License with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience.

The role involves frequent sitting or standing; walking; using hands to reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; kneeling, crouching, or crawling; and talking or hearing. Employees may lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. The noise level is usually moderate to loud.
