Wedding Sales Manager

POSITION SUMMARY The Manager of Wedding Sales & Services is responsible for the sales, contracting, planning, coordination, and execution of weddings and select social events at Wintergreen Resort. This position serves as the primary point of contact for wedding clients from the initial inquiry through post-event follow-up, ensuring a seamless and exceptional guest experience throughout the entire process.

The Manager will creatively and strategically sell all aspects of Wintergreen Resort, including accommodations, food and beverage, meeting and event spaces, recreation, activities, spa services, transportation, audio/visual services, and other resort amenities. The position is responsible for maximizing revenue and profitability while creating customized experiences that meet and exceed client expectations.

This position works closely with clients, resort leadership, operational departments, and outside vendors to ensure every event is thoughtfully planned and executed. The Manager will develop strong, long-term client relationships with the goal of generating repeat business, referrals, and continued revenue for Wintergreen Resort.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Sales & Business Development
· Sell, contract, and coordinate weddings and social events in accordance with departmental and resort guidelines.
· Work closely and serve as the direct report of the Wedding Services Manager.
· Respond promptly and professionally to all wedding and event inquiries, leads, and referrals.
· Conduct sales presentations, property tours, site visits, and client consultations.
· Develop customized proposals, packages, and event concepts based on client needs and resort capabilities.
· Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and tentative business to maximize conversion and achieve established sales goals.
· Identify opportunities to upsell and maximize revenue through accommodations, food and beverage, event space, activities, recreation, spa services, transportation, audio/visual, and other resort offerings.
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, event professionals, and industry partners to generate repeat and referral business.
· Maintain a thorough understanding of resort rates, packages, amenities, operating schedules, policies, and seasonal offerings.
· Evaluate each event for its overall revenue and profitability impact on Wintergreen Resort.

Wedding & Event Planning
· Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned wedding and social event clients from booking through post-event follow-up.
· Manage the complete event lifecycle, including contracting, planning, coordination, execution, and post-event review.
· Coordinate all event details, timelines, agendas, room blocks, activities, transportation, food and beverage, entertainment, and vendor requirements in conjunction with the Wedding Services Manager/
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files, booking profiles, room blocks, event agendas, BEOs, contracts, and other required documentation.
· Help communicate all event details, revisions, changes, and special requests to the appropriate resort departments in a timely and professional manner in conjunction with the Wedding Services Manager.
· Review event procedures, resort policies, cancellation policies, payment requirements, and applicable deadlines with clients.
· Coordinate and lead planning meetings, pre-event meetings, site visits, and post-event or exit meetings as appropriate.
· Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the planning process and while they are on property.
· Contact clients upon arrival and periodically throughout their event to ensure needs are being met and expectations are exceeded.
