Job Description

Full Visibility is seeking an Electronics Technician to work in Quantico, VA. Candidate must possess an active Top Secret clearance
.

The Electronics Technician must have experience with weekly assigned quality assurance and functional testing of state‑of‑the‑art GPS and tracking devices, systems, and peripherals.

The successful candidate will perform daily validation tests on software and/or hardware (including firmware) upgrades received from third‑party vendors on cell‑site simulators, work with vendors of equipment to maintain knowledge of and obtain new software/hardware (including firmware) releases or fixes, and perform functional testing on systems returned from vendors. The candidate will also coordinate repairs with the vendors.

The successful candidate will assemble tracking devices and custom circuitry, ensure a sufficient supply for emergencies, interface with the Geospatial Information Systems Program (GISP) to maintain the Access Control List for tracking devices, provide status reports, cross‑training, and documentation support.

This position requires removing, repairing, modifying, servicing, and installing various types of electronic components, including but not limited to electronic transmitting, receiving and GPS equipment. The Electronics Technician will assemble, solder, connect, and inter‑wire electronic components; perform maintenance, alignment, configuration, and testing of equipment; follow engineering drawings, schematics, safety procedures, standards, and technical manuals to accomplish assigned tasks. The candidate will demonstrate working knowledge of DC circuit troubleshooting and repair, basic electronics test equipment, and an understanding of GPS systems.

Requirements
  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • 3+ years of experience as an Electronics Technician or in a related electronics role
  • Hands‑on experience with testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic systems and GPS/tracking devices
  • Ability to assemble, solder, wire, and configure electronic components and custom circuitry
  • Proficiency using basic electronics test equipment (e.g., multimeter, oscilloscope) and interpreting schematics/technical manuals
  • Experience validating software, hardware, and firmware updates and coordinating repairs with vendors
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree preferred
  • Experience working with cell‑site simulators or advanced GPS technologies
  • Familiarity with DC circuit troubleshooting and RF equipment
  • Experience maintaining access control lists or device management systems
  • Background producing technical documentation, status reports, or training materials
  • Strong vendor coordination experience for hardware/software releases and fixes
