Systems Administrator – Boarhog LLC
Base pay range: $/yr – $/yr
Boarhog will hire a Systems Administrator in Dahlgren, VA to support the Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC). This role requires Network Administrative Support, including Information Management;
Computer and Local Area Network (LAN) Administration;
Cyber Security;
System Assessment and Authorization (A&A);
Functional Area
Needs Analysis/Research;
Technical Documentation; and Technical Helpdesk Support. Travel may be required to locations such as Mayport, FL;
Pearly Harbor, HI;
Everett, WA;
Norfolk, VA;
Rota, Spain; and Yokosuka, Japan. Overtime is authorized when necessary to cope with emergencies, perform tests, or conduct continuous operations.

- Data security standards (PII, PCI, PHI)
- System administration, network, and operating system hardening techniques
- Software‑based computer protection tools (firewalls, antivirus, antispyware)
- Knowledge of transmission records (Bluetooth, RFID, IR, Wi‑Fi) and jamming techniques
- Server and client operating systems
- Systems administration concepts and best practices
- Enterprise IT architecture
- System/server diagnostic tools and fault identification
- Operating system command line/prompt (ipconfig, netstat, dir, nbtstat)
- System maintenance procedures (cleaning, disk checks, reboots, backups)
- Cloud computing service models (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS)
- Cloud computing deployment models (private, public, hybrid)
- Cloud security strategy and architecture
- Migrating workloads between cloud service models
Four (4) years of system management experience.
CertificationIAT Level II (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
ClearanceAll contractor personnel must possess, at a minimum, a current SECRET clearance at the time of Task Order award, based on a Tier 3 (T3)/T3R reinvestigation completed within the last 10 years.
Other Hiring ConsiderationsPreference is given to candidates who reside in a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) as determined by the Small Business Administration.
