The role of the Site Administrator Technician is a dual role requiring both administrative and technical knowledge to complete day‑to‑day work activities in a correctional facility. The incumbent must possess strong data entry skills, customer service experience, and technical ability to support inmate call control systems. This position serves as the first point of contact for facility personnel regarding all administrative and technical tasks.

• Troubleshooting, correcting, and servicing inmate technology systems, including basic telephone repair and maintenance.
• Hardware troubleshooting: define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Proficient with telephony and networking (copper, CAT5/6, fiber optics), including wiring color codes and data cabling fabrication.
• Wiring troubleshooting: trace, repair, or replace damaged wiring and perform repairs on 66‑blocks or cutoff switches.
• Maintain, repair, and operate onsite telecommunications hardware, networking hardware/software, access points, and other electronic equipment.
• Meet all service requirements as set forth by the customer contract.
• Build and maintain relationships with facility personnel, customer contacts, vendors, and contractors to resolve onsite technical problems.
• Manage service‑related expenses and exercise strong time‑management skills.
• Provide onsite instruction and training for site personnel as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with stringent security guidelines in jail and prison environments.
• Return damaged or inoperable equipment per Return Merchandise Authorization process.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of tablet functionality, applications, and Wi‑Fi connectivity issues where applicable.
• Safely drive company or personal vehicle to various facilities throughout the assigned state.
• Travel to customer sites daily with potential for overnight trips.
• Work scheduled and/or unscheduled overtime and after‑hours callouts as required.

• 2+ years of experience in telecommunications (installation, repair, troubleshooting of telephones, video visitation systems, TTY/VRS units, Wi‑Fi/APs).
• 2+ years of experience with computer/network installation and repair, including knowledge of VLAN, advanced network configurations, telecom, and VoIP.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
• High School Diploma or GED; some college courses preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Proficient in Windows OS, MS Office, and other relevant software.
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds routinely and up to 100 pounds with assistance occasionally.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Daily travel throughout assigned geographic area; overnight travel possible.
• Consistent criminal background clearance.
