Syntelligent is seeking a part-time IT Support Specialist. The IT Support Specialist will be expected to perform a wide range of administrative and IT support tasks in support of a small office, 10-12 hours per week. Schedule is flexible during normal business hours. This part-time position will groom the future employee to assume a full-time role on a funded DOD contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for those interested in IT to enhance both knowledge and certifications. Candidates must live near the Luray VA area for this on-site work.

Anticipated Salary Range: $14.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Duties will include:

• Work as part of a Help Desk team.
• Track and log tickets in accordance with I.T. Department policy.
• Maintain small peer-to-peer computer network.
• Install and configure IT resources, including computers and printers.
• Ensure that all PC hardware is in good working condition.
• Ensure that all PC software is loaded correctly.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• Minimum:
  High School Diploma
• 1 year or more related experience
• Basic knowledge of computer networking
• Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Suites
• Knowledge of Anti-Virus & Backup Software
• Knowledge of basic office administration processes
• Must possess troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Mental Requirements: Must be able to multi-task and rapidly change priorities with limited notice.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit/stand at a desk for long-periods and must be able to lift 20 pounds occasionally.
