Data Engineer

The Opportunity:

We need a data professional like you to help our clients find answers in their data to impact important missions—from fraud detection to cancer research to national intelligence.

As a data engineer at Booz Allen, you'll use your skills and experience to help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You'll develop and deploy the pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful. Here, you'll work with a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment.

• 3+ years of experience with data analytics, data mining, statistical analysis, or AI and ML
• 3+ years of experience with major data science languages, including Python and R
• 3+ years of experience retrieving, merging, and analyzing structured and unstructured data sources from APIs and databases, including through R, Python, or SQL
• Experience applying quantitative and analytical methods, such as statistical analysis, data modeling, forecasting, or optimization, in professional, research, or academic settings
• Experience with data visualization software, including Tableau and Power BI
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics

• Experience bundling Python code into an executable format
• Experience with the Palantir Foundry suite of tools
• Experience using War Data Platform to process and analyze datasets
• Experience advising and collaborating with stakeholders to evaluate data and optimize data usage
• Experience preparing and presenting briefings and papers to senior leadership
• Experience working with DoW or U.S. Marine Corps
• Ability to analyze large, complex data sets and develop mathematical models to support a variety of client problems
• Possession of excellent communication skills
• Clearance:
