Location: Gordonsville
Position Summary
Responsible for operating rolling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The rolling equipment operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the equipment, and performing other warehouse functions that require the use of rolling equipment or material handling equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Picks carton and loose stock from back-up rack locations and applies proper labels and moves product to assigned staging area for replenishment and full case pick
- Loads cartons on conveyor and/or drop zone
- Places product in designated picking location
- Loads cartons onto full case induction line
- Places full pallet and partial pallet picks in designated areas
- Inspects cartons for damage and corrects orders that are rejected at the manifest scale
- Maintains various quality control reports that monitor picking accuracy by picker
- Retrieves books from the rack storage area to complete the order
- Ensures that orders are complete and counts verified before loading trucks
- Stages carton at dock locations for outgoing carriers
- Inspects cartons for damage caused during internal handling
- Ensures cartons contain proper labeling, are securely packed, and proper documentation has been applied before shipping
- Ensures the accuracy of all shipping documents
- Assures the shipping counts match picking documents and bill of lading.
- Assists in resolving any discrepancies.
- Assists in loading and unloading trucks as required
- Keeps appropriate records and reports to guarantee tight inventory control and security are maintained.
- Assists in cycle counts.
- Ensures proper carton labels and pallet ’s are generated and affixed.
- Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Conducts operations in a manner that promotes safety.
- Completes certification as a rolling equipment operator.
- Enforces established safety, health, and housekeeping policies and procedures in order to minimize injuries, loss of production time, and damage

- Complies with all environmental, health, and safety requirements
Sunday night - Thursday night from 9:00 p.m.
- 5:00 a.m., with mandatory overtime as needed.

Education And/or ExperienceHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and six months to one years related rolling equipment (forklift) experience.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions, and deal with standardized structure.
Language SkillsAbility to read and comprehend picking orders, manifest, bill of lading, simple instructions, correspondences, and memos, write legibly, and effectively present information one-on-one and small groups situation of employees in the organization.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
OtherSkills And Abilities
Computer skills to include basic keyboarding and working knowledge of WMS.
