Production Assembler

Overview

The Production Assembler is responsible for producing components by assembling parts and subassemblies in accordance with established standards and processes/procedures.

Positions currently located in Ruckersville, VA. Starting pay at $18.80. Monday thru Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.

• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, drawing specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed components
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms
• Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, and material to Production Supervisor

• Willingness to cross train on all areas of production floor

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Candidate must have good organizational skills
• Working knowledge of basic tools
• Works well with others

• Ability to maintain quality and safety standards
• Good communication skills, including the ability to read and write
• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures
• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic
• Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel

• Lifting, sitting, standing, walking, bending, repetitive motions

• Safety glasses and composite toe shoes required (will be provided)
