Overview
The Production Assembler is responsible for producing components by assembling parts and subassemblies in accordance with established standards and processes/procedures.
Location and SchedulePositions currently located in Ruckersville, VA. Starting pay at $18.80. Monday thru Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.
Responsibilities- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, drawing specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed components
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms
- Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, and material to Production Supervisor
- Willingness to cross train on all areas of production floor
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Candidate must have good organizational skills
- Working knowledge of basic tools
- Works well with others
- Ability to maintain quality and safety standards
- Good communication skills, including the ability to read and write
- Ability to understand and follow safety procedures
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic
- Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel
- Lifting, sitting, standing, walking, bending, repetitive motions
- Safety glasses and composite toe shoes required (will be provided)
