Stuart, VA (Onsite, Mon‑Fri 7:00 am–3:30 pm; overtime as needed)

Steel‑toe boots required. Jeans (long pants) & T‑shirt (no inappropriate words or pictures) allowed. All other PPE is provided. Workers wearing eyewear must use side shields.

Local travel may be required; client vehicle may be driven; MVR required.

Motivated, dependable, team‑oriented, respectful, cooperative, flexible, adaptable, and punctual are essential traits.

Lifting/standing capabilities and the ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments in all weather conditions are required. Most lay‑down yards are outdoors.

Heavy equipment operation experience is preferred, including:
Case 821 (Whee loader – All‑Terrain Forklift) – up to 16 k lbs of material
, JLG Telehandler – up to 12 k lbs of material
. Materials are often heavy, awkwardly shaped, and long.

• Issue material under proper authorization; process and file required records, including picking up, hauling, and delivering materials and operating company automotive equipment.
• Check received material for quantity; visually inspect identity, breakage, and condition; initiate and process material receipt and related records.
• Report irregularities and abnormal conditions.
• Identify, sort and record material returned; place usable material in stock; sort non‑usable material into scrap containers; record applicable information and process related records.
• Operate computer terminals and printers supporting a materials management system, and other office equipment such as calculators and scanners.
• Prepare and pack material for shipment or storage, including preparation of required shipping papers and other related records. This may include shipping and receiving hazardous material, such as gasoline, oil, oil containing PCB, and lead‑acid batteries under required safety and environmental procedures.
• Operate material handling equipment such as hand trucks, forklift trucks, low lift trucks, hoists, overhead cranes, order pickers, or any other equipment as required.
• Assist supervisor with maintaining efficient storage of materials, rearrangement or change of bins and racks, and making material location changes.
• Assist in maintaining adequate inventory levels through inventory cycle counts; perform discrepancy adjustments with appropriate approval and process all associated records.
• Assist employees of equal or higher classification.
• Perform similar or less skilled work.
• Perform duties in accordance with company safety rules, operating regulations, and practice.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year of experience in inventory control and management, material handling, warehousing, or related field.
• Basic computer skills; experience with inventory management software such as Maximo, Microsoft Excel, and Word preferred.
• Knowledge of logistics related to shipping and relocating inventory; basic math skills.
• Strong independent work ethic and good communication skills.
• Ability to safely lift up to 70 lbs and pass the Physical Ability Test (PAT).
• Valid State driver’s license; a Commercial Driver License (CDL) may be required – must be obtained within six months of entry.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment, including motorized forklifts and road vehicles.
