We are seeking a Receiving Inspector to join our team at our Culpeper, VA site. This position utilizes a general application of quality assurance concepts, practices and techniques to perform inspections on rocket motors and rocket motor components.

Our site near Culpeper, VA, in beautiful, rural Orange County (1.5 hours from Washington, DC) is growing! This site is our center of excellence for Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion and Energetics development as well as high‑complexity production programs.

Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off

• Use calipers, micrometers and other measuring and/or specialized equipment to perform inspections on rocket motors and rocket motor components under the supervision of higher level inspectors in accordance with AS 9100/ISO 9001 elements.
• Complete paperwork such as writing IR cards, discrepancy reports, etc.
• Enter shipping data, discrepancy reports and Oracle entries in the computer on all programs.
• Work overtime will be expected as directed by the department manager.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post‑secondary / associate’s degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

• Trade or vocational school courses in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and basic math.
• Understanding of the related AS 9100/ISO 9001 elements.
