C&B Piping, founded in Adamsville, AL in 1986, is a full-service manufacturing supplier of ductile iron piping systems with a primary focus on the water & wastewater treatment plant construction industry. Our headquarters and primary manufacturing facility is in Leeds, Alabama while our Amhurst, Virginia and Gilbert, Arizona fabrication and linings/coatings facilities proudly serves our western United States customers.

We are proud to be the nation's largest supplier of porcelain glass linings for ductile iron pipe systems. We have more manufacturing machines for ductile iron pipe under one roof than any other ductile iron fabricator in the USA. We fabricate the full-size range (3"-64") of ductile iron pipe available. We are a licensed applicator of Protecto 401 Ceramic Epoxy and Ceramapure PL90 linings.

C&B Piping's Machine Operators are responsible for fabricating ductile iron pipe as ordered by the customer using different types of machinery including lathes, threaders, drill presses, saws and other heavy industrial equipment.

Must have a solid work history that shows commitment to employers and an ability to stay in jobs for multiple years.

• Report to work every scheduled workday and give their best effort to do quality work and show pride in a job well done.
• Follow all safety policies and protocol and report safety hazards to their supervisor.
• Make the effort to learn different tasks and operate varied machinery.
• Understand the need to be flexible to meet customer needs.

• Measuring equipment such as pie tapes, tape measures, dial indicators, calipers and various gauges.
• Hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, pliers, etc.
• Computer skills are a plus as we use a shop software for work orders.

2-5 years of manual machining experience is preferred. Experience running lathes and/or threaders is a huge plus.

Must be flexible and willing to work overtime to meet the needs of our customers if needed.

Since this is a heavy industrial environment there will be exposure to Fabrication Shop operations. The employee will be exposed from time to time to the following working conditions:
Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes.

The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time):
Standing, Walking, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Reaching, Talking, Seeing, Hearing, Driving and Sitting.

When in the Shop Production Area, the employee will be required to wear PPE including steel-toed shoes if conducting any work-related activity, safety glasses and hearing protection where required.
