Wieland is hiring a Warehouse Associate. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for assisting in all facets of the movement of materials within the facility and from facility to facility. This shall encompass receiving of materials through shipment of the final product.

This role is located in Verona, VA and will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $21.87/hr, with compensation adjusted based on experience and qualifications.

Performance Evaluation at 90 days and 6 months with the potential for a $.50 increase after each evaluation.

Responsibilities

Warehouse Associate Responsibilities:

    Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock and materials.

  • Organize and maintain inventory storage areas to ensure optimal space utilization, easy access to items, and timely transfer of inventory to appropriate destinations.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Update inventory records in the management system, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Prepare and process outgoing shipments, ensuring that orders are complete and correct.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with the packing and labeling of products for shipment, adhering to company guidelines and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to assure movement of materials in a timely, safe, and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to safety regulations and best practices.
  • Provide support for inventory-related projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Assist in manufacturing as needed.

Warehouse Associate Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years previous experience in an industrial environment preferred.
  • Powered Industrial Truck license and usage will be required
  • Ability to read text, interpret and execute context as required
  • Mechanical knowledge of machines/tools utilized in shipping and receiving.
  • Inventory management software and basic computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Demands:

  • Perform work in various physical positions including standing, kneeling, bending, stooping, reaching and may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Performing work in a medium industrial setting with exposure to heat, cold, humidity, industrial odors, fumes, gases, chemicals, oil, grease, smoke, dust, noise, vibration, climbing ladders/stairs and working in cramped quarters.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) requirement, including hearing protection, safety eyewear, safety footwear, face shield, and respirator if required.
  • Close vision, distant vision, color vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus and hand-eye coordination.
