Main position objectives

The Export Documentation / Shipper generates the required documentation for export orders. They help to promote the high standard of customer service that Gala Industries, Inc. has built. Ensuring that paperwork for all orders is processed accurately and as required.

• Prepares the required paperwork for customer orders such as:
• Commercial and Proforma invoices.
• USMCA forms for Canada and Mexico.
• Certificate of Origin, Bill of Lading using Shipping Solutions and UPS.
• SED (Shippers Export Declaration) forms through AES (Automated Export System).
• Various forms of documentation for other countries as required.
• Coordinates the signing and stamping of required paperwork through the Chamber of Commerce.
• Coordinates carriers.
• Monitors packing slips not shipped and reprints packing slips and identification tags for spare parts orders and miscellaneous shipments.
• Consolidates multiple packing slips and orders and generates invoices for coordinated shipments.
• Maintains Schedule B numbers for items.
• Works closely with the spare parts group and inventory personnel to manage shipments.
• Completes any other tasks as assigned by manager.

In addition, the incumbent considers all interests of quality, accident prevention, occupational safety, and environmental safety. They actively support the avoidance of damages to people, facilities, assets, material, and environment.

While performing the duties of this job in a factory setting, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. Noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and PPE may be required.

The employee must stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb as needed. They must be able to lift items up to 80 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

Mandatory

• High School diploma or equivalent education (additional technical skills a plus).
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills.

Desirable

• Willingness to learn new skills to advance in the company.
• 1-3 years of experience with Syteline, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Acrobat Reader.

• Possess valid forklift license or willingness and ability to obtain license.
