Senior Accountant – Full time

Reports to:

Controller

Summary of Responsibilities

Assist with billing service activities and follow‑up with collection activity.

Assist with payroll processing, including payment of payroll taxes and filing related payroll tax reports.

Assist with preparation and processing of weekly disbursements.

Maintain salary records and oversee employee benefits, including payment and timely reporting.

Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare bank account reconciliations.

Prepare journal entries and assist with the monthly closing of the general ledger.

Assume custodial responsibilities for insurance available to transplant professionals and living kidney donors.

Assist with preparation of financial information, including reporting and making presentations at board meetings.

Assist with timely filing of required tax payments and filings.

Assist with making monthly payments to Employees’ Retirement System and with year‑end preparation of 5500 Report.

Provide support for the annual audit, including preparation of required schedules.

Assist with funding to employee’s retirement and preparation of annual compliance and reporting requirements.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.

At least 5 years of working experience in accounting.

Strong background in all areas of accounting.

Proficiency in Office software, particularly Excel and Word.

Working knowledge of automated accounting systems;
Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus.

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.

Prior experience with Non‑Profit a plus.

Attention to detail and hands‑on approach.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal and teamwork skills.
