Job Description
Kids Zone Attendant
Job Objective:
To provide a safe and pleasant environment for members' children.
Reports to:
Kids Zone Supervisor
Game Plan
- Report to work 10 minutes before your shift begins to be briefed by the prior shift or to open the Kids Zone on time.
- Follow check-in procedures for children. Ensure that each child that enters the nursery has a token.
- Ensure all numbers and bracelets are accounted for.
- Review the activity calendar and prepare for daily activities.
- Control children without direct supervision. Children are to be involved in supervised activities. You should keep the noise level in the room to a minimum.
- Handle any parent concerns immediately or refer to a manager.
- Handle any emergency situations that may occur.
- Children will be transported to and from acitvities by AFFC staff only.
- When the children are outside of the Kids Zone, staff must use walkie-talkes to communicate. This is not optional.
- The Kids Zone will be cleaned at the end of each shift. This includes, but is not limited to, cleaning the balthroom, mopping the floor, wiping cribs, tables, and walkers, vacuuming carpet, emptying trash and dins infecting toys.
- All VCR tapes will be rewound at the end of each shift.
- Video games will be put away at the end of each shift.
- The Kids Zone will be clean and presentable at all times. The carpet should be vacuumed immediately after snack time.
- All forms will be completed at the end of each shift. This includes daily activity sheets and bracelet forms.
- Read and intial the communication log daily.
- Wear proper uniform.
