Position Description
The Architectural Inspector is responsible for inspections and quality assurance to ensure full compliance in the Repairs and Reconstruction. They perform on-site inspections verifying structural integrity, materials, and workmanship.
• Ensure projects are in compliance with the requirements and specifications.
• Carry out daily Quality Control Inspections, milestones inspections and final inspections of the projects to certify these comply with the established milestones.
• Ensure the safety and occupational health of the projects.
• Verify that projects meet OSHA requirements and standards are being carried out.
• Offer guidance to people who work in the field.
• Inspect and monitor construction sites to ensure adherence to safety standards, building codes, and specifications.
• Visit projects to verify established construction plans and standards are met.
• Take photos of the projects.
• Ability to design architectural and/or structural drawings specifications.
• Schedule inspections, maintain records and update the project progression.
• Prepare and file a report after each inspection of the project.
Job Qualifications
• Possess an associate degree in civil engineering or a blueprint reading course
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the field of construction or inspection or architectural design and/or structural drawings readings, is preferred
• Considerable knowledge of construction management, inspection, methods and materials
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Proficient computer skills including in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Must possess a valid Driver's license
