Stevenson Consulting, a full-services engineering consulting firm, operating in the Mid-Atlantic and Gulf region of the US since 1984, is seeking Construction Field Technicians to join our Charlottesville, VA team.
We offer a competitive compensation package and benefits. Compensation is based on experience and acquired industry certifications. Training is available. Excellent opportunity for growth.
Responsibilities
- Observing, testing and sampling soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry and asphalt according to applicable standards
- Preparing detailed and complete field reports with all relevant test results and inspections/observations provided
- Daily interaction with clients and team members
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules and procedure manuals
- Must have valid driver’s license, with good driving history
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to multi-task and excellent attention to detail
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Prior experience on construction sight desired
- WACEL and/or MARTCP certifications a plus
