Job Type: Day, Full-time, 35–47 hours per week, Starts as soon as possible

Salary: $21.00 to $25.00 per hour (to be negotiated), project size estimating experience: $1,500,001 – $4,000,000

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Prepare master format estimates (Class A).
• Operate CADD and other computer software systems.
• Project cash flow and financing requirements.
• Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets and bids forms.
• Monitor and adjust contract expenditures.
• Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

• Education:
  
  Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience.
• Experience:
  
  1 year to less than 2 years in civil, architecture, residential construction.
• Computer and technology knowledge:
  Spreadsheet, AutoCAD, MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, Quick Books, MS PowerPoint.
• Project size estimating experience: $1,500,001 – $4,000,000; $100,001 – $500,000.

• Transportation:
  Own transportation / Public transportation available.
• Work setting:
  Estimating / Quantity surveying.
• Work conditions and physical capabilities:
  Attention to detail.

• A Canadian citizen.
• A permanent resident of Canada.
• A temporary resident of Canada with a valid work permit.
