We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Pathologist to join our veterans' affairs (VA) dynamic healthcare team. Pathologist will provide services necessary to perform as‑needed on‑site Anatomical Pathology and Clinical Pathology services to include pathologists and diener services when needed. Duties

By working collaboratively with local health agencies and community partners, we aim to ensure equitable health outcomes for all, especially those facing barriers to care.

• Conduct thorough examinations of tissue samples, blood, and other bodily fluids to diagnose diseases.
• Collaborate with medical staff to interpret laboratory results and provide insights for patient management.
• Utilize EHR and EMR systems, including Epic, for efficient documentation and patient record management.
• Engage in clinical research to advance knowledge in pathology and improve diagnostic techniques.
• Provide guidance on the appropriate use of medical imaging and diagnostic tests.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases, including those involving critical care, oncology, and pediatrics.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Stay updated on advancements in pathology, including techniques related to interventional radiology, dermatology, endocrinology, and more.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to educational programs within the institution.

• Shall be Board certified by the American Board of Pathology; or for dermatopathology certification may come from the American Board of Dermatology and must be Board certified in Dermatopathology American Board of Dermatopathology Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in pathology.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and experience with clinical trials or research methodologies.
• Proficiency in EHR systems; familiarity with Epic is preferred.
• Experience in various subspecialties such as gastroenterology, cardiology, oncology, or maternal-fetal medicine is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Ability to perform critical assessments and make informed decisions regarding patient care.
• Familiarity with diagnostic radiology techniques including CT scans and mammography is a plus.
