Radiation Oncologist – Faculty Position
The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Virginia invites applications for an open rank, open track faculty position. The focus is on breast, prostate, lymphoma, and pediatrics.
OverviewAs a faculty member, you will provide clinical services, lead investigator initiatives, initiate clinical trials, conduct translational research, and participate in medical student education.
Responsibilities- Deliver patient care in breast, prostate, lymphoma, and pediatric oncology.
- Develop and lead clinical research projects, including trials and translational studies.
- Engage in medical student and resident education.
- Contribute to departmental goals such as precision medicine and care coordination.
- MD degree.
- Board eligibility or certification by the American Board of Radiology in Radiation Oncology.
- Valid Virginia medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Commitment to clinical excellence, research, and teaching.
The department is part of the University of Virginia NCI‑designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, located in Charlottesville. We have a 20,000‑sq‑ft clinical space equipped with CT‑on‑rails brachytherapy, four Varian True Beam linear accelerators, an Elekta Esprit Gamma Knife, and an MRI linac.
