The Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Virginia (UVA) seeks candidates for a tenure‑eligible Open Rank (Assistant, Associate, Professor) faculty position to join a team of experienced Advanced Endoscopy and Gastroenterology physicians at the UVA Medical Center. The incumbent will have a commitment to clinical care, education and scholarly activity. The University of Virginia offers great opportunities for collaboration across the campus and support for career development with intramural funding opportunities.
The incumbent will be expected to manage patients in clinic, perform routine and advanced endoscopic procedures including ERCP, EUS, EMR and endoluminal stenting, attend on the inpatient GI service, and take general and ERCP/advanced endoscopy call. Expectations also include developing original clinical research and assisting with the teaching of advanced endoscopy fellows, GI fellows, residents and medical students.
QualifiationsCandidates must have an MD or equivalent degree and must be ABIM board‑certified in Gastroenterology by the appointment start date. Candidates need to be a U.S. Citizen or have U.S. Permanent Resident status.
