We care for children with neurodevelopmental or behavioral concerns, autism, intellectual disability, high‑risk infant follow‑up, mental/emotional/behavioral problems, neuro‑motor disabilities, and children at risk due to early childhood adversity. Patients are seen in the new Riverside Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Health Center (opening late 2024), the Battle Building outpatient clinic of UVA Health Children’s Hospital, and various rural outreach clinics. We collaborate with a growing pediatric psychology service and numerous interdisciplinary clinics.
Our division co‑hosts the HRSA Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (LEND) program, trains graduate‑level trainees in developmental disability, and supports a residency and fellowship program.
