Stroke Neurologist / Neurohospitalist
The Department of Neurology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine seeks a Stroke Neurologist and Neurohospitalist at the Assistant/Associate/Professor rank (tenure‑eligible or tenure‑ineligible). Clinical responsibilities include inpatient attending on both the stroke/vascular neurology and the general neurology services, providing telestroke care, acute stroke treatment, and outpatient general and cerebrovascular care. The successful applicant will also teach, including overseeing residents and fellows.
Qualifications- MD or DO (or equivalent) degree.
- Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Neurology and/or Vascular Neurology.
- Completed fellowship training in this sub‑specialty.
- Telestroke experience preferred.
- Excellence in clinical care required.
- For tenure‑eligible positions: strong interest in academic medicine and demonstrated scholarship in two domains consistent with departmental tenure requirements.
