Regent University’s College of Arts & Sciences is seeking to fill a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position. This position will be located at Regent University’s Virginia Beach, VA campus.

Essential Functions- Teach courses within the Engineering and Computer Science department at all levels both on campus and online.
- Mentor students outside of the classroom in a variety of ways, including serving as an academic mentor, providing graduate and undergraduate research opportunities, supporting student competition teams, serving on committees, and performing outreach and in-reach activities for the recruitment of new students and the retention of existing students.
- Perform ground-breaking, relevant research with the potential to build an exceptional national/international research reputation, an interest in industrial collaborations, and a passion for engaging and innovative teaching.
- Support department service efforts that demonstrate a commitment to excellence, innovation, and integrity. This includes regular assessment and improvement of programs, curriculum, instruction, and other efforts to support and maintain existing and future program accreditations and designations.
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering is preferred. M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering will be considered.
- Demonstrate proven skills in leadership, research achievement, and professional engagement.
- Teaching experience preferred.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with simultaneous multiple tasks.
- Must possess critical thinking, analysis, writing, and project management capabilities.
- Must be fully supportive of the mission and direction of Regent University and the College of Arts and Sciences to develop and raise "Christian Leadership to Change the World."
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. Ability to work independently and accomplish tasks based on knowledge, experience, and expertise within established principles. Willingness to carry out highly detailed work to completion.
