Itinerant Music, Strings, Teacher - Experience/Expertise with Mariachi
Provides and is accountable for the planning, assessment, instruction, communication, human relations, safety, and management of a classroom or assigned instructional setting. Supports FCPS mission to “inspire, enable, and empower students to meet high academic standards, lead ethical lives, and demonstrate responsible citizenship.” (One Year Only)
Requirements- Experience/expertise with Mariachi.
- Dedicated music educator to expand Mariachi music and culture, traveling between school sites within Fairfax County.
- Experience teaching traditional mariachi instruments (e.g., violin, trumpet, guitarrón, vihuela, guitar) and vocal styles.
- Experience creating socially and culturally responsive curricula that reflect mariachi traditions.
- Bilingual Spanish/English highly desired.
