We’re supporting multiple openings for a client in the electrical power services / field testing space and are looking to speak with NETA I–IV technicians (junior through lead levels).
Role SummaryThis is a hands-on field role focused on electrical testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning/start-up support in industrial and mission-critical environments. Work includes performing investigations, tests, measurements, and evaluations on de-energized, locked-out/tagged-out equipment, setting up and removing test equipment, following hazardous energy and safety procedures, maintaining accurate records, and producing reports.
For senior levels (NETA III–IV), the role may include leading field execution, supervising crews/other technicians, coordinating with engineers and project leadership, and owning project delivery through the final report.
Travel & ScheduleThis is a traveling field position with regional dispatch to customer sites. Expect up to ~50% travel depending on project needs and home base. Travel can include overnight stays during the week, early starts, and periodic trips to different job sites across the region. Occasional overtime may be needed to meet outage windows, commissioning schedules, or customer deadlines.
Core Responsibilities- Perform electrical tests and measurements; collect and document data accurately
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and recommend corrective actions
- Set up/operate/remove test equipment safely; follow LOTO and hazardous energy procedures
- Support switching/evaluations/safety grounding as qualified
- Write and/or review reports and documentation; submit deliverables on time
- For senior levels: supervise assigned technicians/crews and monitor project progress end-to-end
- Additional tasks as needed to support operational priorities
- NETA certification aligned to level (NETA I-IV; NETA IV preferred for senior scope)
- OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, CPR/First Aid/AED, MSHA (as applicable)
- High school diploma/GED required (technical degree preferred)
- Strong fundamentals in electrical theory
- Strong communication, customer service, and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel
- Must pass applicable background/MVR and drug testing requirements
Compensation ranges are DOE and will vary based on NETA level (NETA I-IV), experience, and certifications.
