When aircraft incur damage, it’s imperative to get them back in the air as soon as possible. Aircraft Structure Maintenance specialists are responsible for repairing this damage and ensuring it meets the high structural standards of Air Force aircraft. You’ll handle everything from replacing and installing parts to restoring the aircraft's integrity, ensuring the safety and effectiveness of our Airmen across various missions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure repairs are water, fluid, and weather tight.
- Develop and carry out maintenance policies.
- Inspect and assess structures for operational capability.
- Assess and repair damage to aircraft and structural components.
- Operate and maintain powered and non-powered equipment and tools.

Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED with 15 college credits, or GED.
- Knowledge of aircraft construction features.
- Completion of 8.5 weeks of Basic Military Training.
- Ages between 17 and 39.
