Job Description
We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Hydrogen for immediate employment. This remote, part-time role offers an exciting opportunity in renewable energy technology consulting. Candidates should have a background in engineering or science, with significant utility, industry, or national laboratory R&D experience preferred. Leadership in R&D is a plus, and some travel may be required for technical meetings.
We are particularly interested in expertise in:
- 15+ years of hydrogen energy experience
- Assessment of hydrogen energy options
- Hydrogen system design and grid integration
- Operations and maintenance of hydrogen energy systems
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze trends and technical factors related to hydrogen energy
- Evaluate hydrogen project plans
- Research regulations and policies impacting hydrogen technologies
- Develop studies, reports, and summaries on renewable energy infrastructure strategies
- Create resource assessments and deployment roadmaps
Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced degree in engineering or science, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 15 years of relevant hydrogen energy experience
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and deployment challenges
- Program and project management experience is a plus
Additional Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and within diverse teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Interest in sustainability
Compensation
$60 - $120 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Salary is determined by internal equity, market data, and applicant skills.
