Supply Chain professionals support procurement, contracts, logistics, and materials management to enable project success.
Job SummaryThe Procurement and Contracts organization is responsible for obtaining the equipment and materials needed for Bechtel projects. As part of this team, you will perform functions that include work planning, sourcing, supplying, delivering, and storing procured equipment and materials for global projects. The Supplier Quality & Expediting center of excellence focuses on surveillance and expediting of suppliers to achieve zero defects and zero delays.
MajorResponsibilities
- Provide expertise in qualification, evaluation, negotiation, and selection of global suppliers and contractors
- Manage purchase orders and subcontracts to ensure satisfactory performance and terms compliance
- Coordinate complex logistics for transportation, receipt, and storage of equipment and materials from all regions
- Build and maintain supplier and contractor relationships
- Collaborate with category management teams for technical and commercial intelligence
- Perform materials management to ensure material is planned, scheduled, and received for project use
- Engage with Supplier Quality & Expediting for surveillance activities
- Prepare and administer purchase orders
- Prepare service contracts outlining project scope, schedule, and terms
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely engineering data and deliverables
- Coordinate shipments with internal and external parties
- Review material requisitions from a Supplier Quality perspective
- Support supplier quality and expediting activities for scheduling, planning, and reporting
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Production and Operations Management, or Logistics Management from an accredited college or university within the past 12 months or anticipating degree within the next year
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Ability and willingness to relocate and/or travel to domestic and/or international project sites
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous co-op or internship experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Microsoft Office Suite and Teams skills
