Exciting opportunity for a Lead Embedded Linux Engineer to spearhead the development of a custom Linux distribution for innovative spacecraft technology. Join our client’s dynamic team to:

• Design and implement a bespoke Yocto-based Linux distribution
• Create Board Support Packages for diverse hardware platforms
• Develop OTA update mechanisms for production satellites
• Lead cross-disciplinary teams in rapid development cycles

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Software, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering
• 7+ years experience building and shipping embedded Linux distributions
• Expert knowledge of C/C++, Git, Yocto/Open Embedded, and kernel-level development
• Proficiency with embedded protocols (RS-232, SPI, I2C, CAN)
• Strong background in hardware-in-the-loop integration and testing

Additional valuable skills include:

• Experience with
• CI/CD implementation for release artifacts
• Docker containerization
