We are seeking resumes for an Environmental Engineer at our Gladstone, VA Riverville Mill.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate environmental problems and develop practical, cost-effective solutions, often related to pollution, climate change, and sustainability.
- Design, test, and implement systems for clean water supply, wastewater treatment, air pollution control, and waste management.
- Ensure projects and facilities comply with federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations, and help obtain necessary permits.
- Collect and analyze environmental data to monitor pollution levels, assess environmental impacts, and inform project planning.
- Interact closely with operations, maintenance, engineering and process control personnel in the accomplishment of assigned tasks.
- Environmental review of trial plans for process changes and chemical trials.
- Education - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science
- Experience - A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a chemical/manufacturing facility
- Must possess a strong work ethic and leadership qualities.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple projects and/or requests concurrently.

Ability to find creative and effective solutions to complex environmental challenges. - Analytical
Skills:
Strong capabilities for analyzing data and evaluating scientific information to develop accurate assessments. - Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings, write reports, and collaborate with diverse teams of scientists, engineers, and public officials. - Technical Proficiency:
Knowledge of scientific principles from fields like biology, chemistry, and soil science, in addition to engineering.
