Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

The OpportunityWe are collaborating with multiple companies in Mattawan seeking experienced Tooling Engineers. Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and modify custom tooling, jigs, fixtures, and molds for manufacturing processes.
- Manage the maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of existing tooling to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Analyze tooling failures and implement root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with production, design, and quality departments to optimize tooling for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and product quality.
- Evaluate and select appropriate materials, manufacturing methods, and suppliers for tooling components and new tooling projects.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for tooling designs, processes, and maintenance strategies.
- Ensure all tooling meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in tooling design, development, and maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD, NX) for tool design and simulation.
- Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, stamping, machining) and tooling materials.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot tooling issues, implement corrective actions, and optimize tooling performance.
- Knowledge of GD&T principles and their application in tooling design and inspection.
- Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, Mold Flow Analysis)
- Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement certification
- Proficiency in Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) for tooling applications
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM)
