Join Aecon, a North American leader in infrastructure development, as an Electrical Planner. In this role you will support the planning, scheduling, and execution of electrical work for nuclear and non‑nuclear projects, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of all activities.
What You’ll Do- Navigate and work within MAXIMO to create and manage maintenance and outage work orders.
- Plan both online and outage work orders, producing detailed plans and instructions.
- Prepare reports and maintain historical records in MAXIMO.
- Order materials in MAXIMO and coordinate with operations for equipment isolation requests.
- Perform constructability reviews and plant walk‑downs.
- Evaluate the work environment to determine required support groups.
- Athend internal and external meetings and provide guidance on planning, execution, and commissioning strategies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Minimum of 5 years as a Planner or Field Engineer at a nuclear generation station (or equivalent experience).
- Knowledge of nuclear plant equipment and standard nuclear procedures and policies.
- Holding an Electrical or Civil certification (or equivalent education/experience).
- Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams (Project Management, Engineering, Implementation, Dominion Personnel).
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Various work locations in both field and office.
- Walk‑downs of project sites and systems inside and outside the station for work‑order assessments.
- Travel as necessary.
