Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (). We are currently looking for a Land Surveyor to join our team for a highway expansion project in Hampton, Virginia.
-Estimated duration of the position: 8 months - In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.
Responsibilities- Establishing and maintaining horizontal and vertical control points.
- Performing topographic surveys, construction layout, and as-built surveys.
- Executing staking and setting out for earthworks, utilities, roadworks, and structural elements.
- Collecting, processing, and validating field data with surveying software.
- Preparing surveying reports, sketches, and documentation for project records.
- Collaborating with engineering, construction, and QA/QC teams to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Ensuring all surveying activities follow safety protocols and industry standards.
- Degree in Land Surveying or related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Land Surveyor in major infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of survey instruments (Total Station, GPS, levels, scanners).
- Working hours:
Monday to Friday, 40 hours weekly
